Become a Gator! Gators are members of the Northern IL Swim Conference, (a recreation-based swim conference), & compete against other local park districts during the summer. Swim meets are on Wednesdays; practices are Monday through Friday from 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Only residents of the River Trails Park District may sign up for the Gators unless the park district you belong to does not have a team in the NISC.

It's Gator Time...RTPD Gators' Swim Team offers a swimtacular experience for your children! Sign up according to gender & age as of June 13, 2011. 5 to 8 year olds
Must be able to swim 50 yds. freestyle
Must be able to swim one other competitive stroke
9 to 10 year olds
Must be able to swim 50 yds. in 2 competitive strokes
Must have competency of a third competitive stroke.
11 to 12 year olds
Must be able to swim 100 yds. freestyle
Must be able to swim 50 yds. in 2 other competitive strokes
Must have competency of a fourth competitive stroke
13 to 18 year olds
Must be able to swim 100 yds. freestyle
Must be able to swim 100 yds. in 2 other competitive strokes
Must have competency of a fourth competitive stroke
