Why should you volunteer to be a Youth Athletic Coach?
…mainly to influence the life of a child in a positive way! A great opportunity to teach a child physical skills as well as the values of teamwork, fair play and how to win as well as lose with grace and dignity. Volunteers are instrumental to the success of these programs by acting as a team coach or coach's assistant. If interested in coaching, stop by the Weiss Community Center to fill out a coach's application & background check form. You will be trained according to River Trails and the National Youth Sports Coaches Association philosophies. In addition, the child of the head coach will play for free. Refunds will be issued at the end of the season. (One head coach per team).
