The Mission of the River Trails Park District is to provide quality leisure activities to enrich the lives of all people, regardless of age, while preserving open space, conserving the environment and educating the community on the importance of conservation and personal wellness.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
River Trails Park District recognizes the importance of safety for our employees and participants. It is our goal to develop and carry out an ongoing program where the health and safety of everyone is the most important factor. All employees will be directly involved in making safety a matter of continuing concern. With a cooperative spirit, we will be successful and benefit all members of our Park District Community. Adopted by the Board of Park Commissioners 2009.

DON’T GO UNCOVERED!!
The park district does not carry medical accident insurance for injuries sustained in its programs, grounds or facilities. The cost would make fees prohibitive.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
River Trails Park District supports and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you require assistance to participate in our programs, use our facilities or have any questions or concerns, please notify us upon registration to insure a smooth inclusion. We are an equal opportunity organization and shall continue to adhere to the doctrine of equality of opportunity and non-discrimination in all of our programs, services and employment.

YOUR PARK & SCHOOL DISTRICTS
WORK TOGETHER

To provide quality services to this community, River Trails Park District and School Districts 26 have enjoyed a cooperative relationship for many years. We share facilities and/or programs in an effort to bring you the best. We would like to express our appreciation for this continuing outstanding effort.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
River Trails Park District is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified persons will be considered for employment without regard to race, creed, color, sex, national origin or age.

NON-RESIDENT MEMBERSHIPS
“Non-resident memberships” are available to any person who does not pay taxes to River Trails Park District or is not a partner resident. The fee for a membership is based on the home’s equalized assessed valuation. Memberships, valid for 1 year from date of purchase, entitle the family to participate in programs and use River Trails facilities at the resident rate.
