Summary: The district will be developing a long term Park Master Plan for the renewal of Willow Trails Park. The plan will most likely be completed in several stages over the next 2-10 years depending on opportunities to find alternate revenue sources. Resumen: El distrito desarrollará un Plan Maestro del Parque a largo plazo para la renovación del Parque Willow Trails. Lo más probable es que el plan se complete en varias etapas durante los próximos 2 a 10 años, dependiendo de las oportunidades para encontrar fuentes de ingresos alternativas. Estamos solicitando una subvención OSLAD 2022 del Departamento de Recursos Naturales de Illinois. Tendremos 2-3 reuniones comunitarias. Summary: The Aspen Trails Park Redevelopment (in cooperation with the Village of Mount Prospect) was created to improve the community’s recreational space, while improving the water retention needs of the village based on local climate trends. Aspen Trails Park is part two of the overall joint agreement, Burning Bush Trails Park has been completed as of December 1, 2020. Aspen Trails Park was awarded a $400,000 Open Space and Land Acquisition and Development Grant (OSLAD) and the Village has been awarded a grant from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD).

Documents and Imagery: In the DOCUMENTS section below, concepts A and B were generated from discussions with staff, as well as review of Comprehensive Master Plan. All the amenities in the imagery boards are conceptual. They can be mix and matched to create a fully desired Park Master Plan. These concepts were presented at the Community Meeting on February 15.
Community Meetings: are an opportunity to let your voice be heard. The Public is welcome to all community meetings to hear plans and offer input.
