Spring Fling- Yoga & Mimosas
Fling into spring with this one-day social yoga event to conclude the spring session. The morning starts with a Yoga flow Class taught by Janice Herbst accompanied by live music by Tom Herbst. Following the yoga class will be mimosas and light appetizers. Bring your friends to enjoy this special Saturday morning yoga event.

Golf Stretch & Swing (Golf Stretching Clinic)
In this Golf Stretch Clinic, we will help you build strength and flexibility which are critical to your swing and overall performance. We will work on loosening up your shoulders, strengthening your core, working on upper body, leg strength, hip rotation, and twists all in an effort to elevate your golf game.

Longevity Testing
Living your best life as you age. River Trails Park District now offers bi-monthly longevity testing. As our bodies age they require a routine to maintain performance. These simple tests, for example sit and each or balancing on one foot have been studied to predict how long your body can be relied upon to perform to its fullest potential. The results of this test will allow the instructor to assist and create a path for you to achieve your goals.

Moonlight Meditation with Crystal Singing Bowls

Join us for an hour of live sound meditation and deep relaxation in nature! Held at the newly developed area on the east side of the park. he evening will begin with a brief introduction to Crystal Singing Bowls and the healing properties of sound. We start with a short meditation using our breath, followed by the soothing sound of the singing bowls under the stars! No experience or skills required. Please arrive early to settle into your space. Preregistration by July 6 is required.
What to bring: flashlight, yoga mat. You may also want to bring a blanket, pillow, sweatshirt, water bottle, or anything else you need to stay comfortable while lying down.

Amrit Yoga Meditation

With gentle tretches and breathing, this will help you focus on managing stress and anxiety. Family Yoga
Our family yoga class is a fun and relaxing way for parents and children to practice gentle yoga poses together. It’s designed for all fitness levels, helping families bond while improving flexibility, strength, and mindfulness in a supportive environment.

Outdoor Walking Workshop
Take your movement outdoors! Enjoy this 60-minute outdoor class that will help you walk//hike smarter, faster, and farther with greater ease. We will use the ground, park benches, playground equipment, even trees, to do key mobility and flexibility moves that will unlock and strengthen all your “walking parts.”

Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a gentle mind & body practice that involves slow flowing movements combined with moderate rhythmic breathing. Benefits include increased joint mobility, improving posture and calmer mind. Participants may register for his class individually as this class is not part of the punch card.

Pilates Fusion
This class focuses on moves that will be challenging while building lean muscle without straining joints. Also, it emphasizes deep abdominal core and engagement with light elements of cardio, yoga, and strength raining. Weights, bands, and balls may be used provided by the district. Participants may register for this class individually as its not part of the Group Fitness punch card or attend class with a drop in.

Zumba Gold
A modified, low-impact dance fitness class. Designed for beginners, active adults and those requiring joint friendly and a slower paced workout. It helps improve cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and balance. Participants may register for this class individually as it is not part of Group fitness or Zumba punch cards.

Vinyasa Yoga Flow
Flow based Hatha Yoga uses movement and breath together to produce a “flow” of postures that lead from one to the next. Yogis can expect to develop strength, flexibility, and mental clarity in a mixed level environment.
